Im not really up on singapore savings accounts but that interest rates doesnt seem to be too high. Is this above average for singapore? Also does singapore have the equivalent of the FDIC to insure accounts?

Please exercise extreme when placing fixed deposits. A lot of banks that offer higher rates are to be glanced twice thrice. Remember run on Bank of East Asia. Not a solid bank. Be safe. Place monies in bigger names such as Stanchart and some into SGS
